Born and raised in Metro Manila, Philippines, but later migrating to New York City, Parada was exiled in New Jersey. Despite his roller coaster journey, he still managed to obtain a degree in BFA at the Tisch School of Arts, and\u00a0produced\u00a0two films that was\u00a0 recognized\u00a0 worldwide&#8211;&#8220;Dirty Blue Balloons&#8221; (2004) and &#8220;If Everything Was Said&#8221; (2006), for his thesis at New York University.
