DJ Jago

DJ Jago was only 10 when he mixed for the first time on a Numark starter set. At age 12 he scratched his first record at Dubspot in New York City. That’s when he found his true passion, DJing. He then sold his dirt bike, started reselling AF1 sneakers over the Internet, and gathered up birthday presents from since he was a little kid in order to buy turntables and a mixer. In the months that followed, while the other kids were busy playing sports and XBOX, he spent most of his after-school time learning from his mentors at Dubspot, and being locked up in his basement, practicing, listening to some of his favorite DJs such as A-Trak, AM, Q-Bert, and Shiftee, while studying their videotapes and showing his new scratches to his family and friends. Jago is 13 years old and is an eighth grader at Woodcliff Middle School in New Jersey. In school he is a high honor student, and on weekends he DJs private parties and charity events in his area. His goals are become a DMC World Champ and rock nightclubs all over the world.   Play Audio
